2023 Wrapped Up

2023 was a year to remember: a year of growth and development, change, and positive impact in the community. The 21st Mortgage team saw many successes during 2023, including the 13th straight National Lender of the Year and 12th straight National Floorplan Lender of the Year awards from the Manufactured Housing Industry. Throw in a Top Workplace recognition and Leadership Excellence award from Knox News, and we will consider it a year for the books!

Engagement Builds Culture

More than 40 engagement events were hosted in 2023. Director of HR & Engagement, Bailey Anglin, sees engagement as a culture-building factor that fosters Team Member happiness, buy-in, and dedication.

We spent time together in a number of ways during 2023. Whether it was KARM Prom to support the GirlTalk Inc mission, Spirit Week to celebrate the American Heart Association, or the annual picnic at the Zoo, we had a wonderful time interacting and enjoying the company of our 21st Family.

21st Cares Service Record

A service record for hours and give backs

A core value of our 21st is giving back. In 2023, we were able to donate a record 2,143 hours of service back to 24 organizations in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. Throughout the year, our team also sponsored a number of Team Member give back drives that led to more than $150,000 given back to organizations including GirlTalk Inc., the Kennedy Ladd Foundation, United Way, and may others. Bailey Anglin was named the Knoxville Leader of Impact for her work to raise more than $30,000 for the American Heart Association. She will be recognized for her outstanding work to raise awareness in the community at the AHA Heart Ball in February.

Record growth within the company

Promoting from within is a key part of the 21st culture: recruit talented individuals, provide them with the resources needed to be successful, and watch them grow! Last year, we had 120 promotions and 79 transfers throughout the company. 2023 also introduced 270 new Team Members to the 21st Family, and we broke the 1,000 mark of total Team Members, which has proven to be much needed with the portfolio growth we witnessed from our originations and acquisitions teams.

Looking Forward to Another Year

New goals often come with a new year, but the standard of excellence at 21st Mortgage stays the same. With familiar faces in new leadership roles, we look to continue building on the success of 2023. Remaining the Nation’s Top Manufactured Home Lender through superior customer service and innovation is a top priority.

The 21st Mortgage team will persist in its efforts of constantly bettering the business as Team Members can expect continued efforts of development through training initiatives and programs. We look forward to participating in more than 2,000 hours of service again in 2024 and not only better the business, but better the community we work and live in as well.
