Thank you for allowing us to volunteer our time to help those that were affected by the fires in Sevierville. We worked at the Sevier County Fire Recovery Donation Warehouse in Knox county. This facility houses the over flow of donations made for the Sevierville fires. Our team helped organize and sort donations such as, clothes, toys, towels, home goods, food, etc. After these items are sorted they are compacted and put in storage until needed or another disaster event happens where the items would be utilized. There are a few distribution centers in Sevier County where people that were affected can go to pick up needed items.

They still need more help, as half of the warehouse is still full of unsorted donations. The warehouse is open from 9:00am to 4:30 Monday – Saturday and works in 4 hour shifts. Here is the web link if you would like to sign up. https://www.volunteeretn.org/HOC__Volunteer_Opportunity_Details_Page?id=a0Co000000F8gi8
